Translation issues

CalgaryGrit makes a joke out of the Liberals supposedly disputing Grewal's translation of some sections, and Calgary Observer points out how difficult translation can be for those who have not done it professionally.

This reminds me of a famous story. In the early stages of developing computer translation programs, the English-Russian team wanted to run a test using the New Testament, which would hilight where there were weaknesses in their approach. Anyway, the the verse 'The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak' came out 'the vodka is good, but the meat is lousy'.
