Old tape praised Manning and criticised current party leadership?

In the new version of the Tim Murphy meeting, the transcript reads (with corrections in italics, left out bits in bold):
GG He was the first foreign dignitary or foreign politican to visit Golden Temple,
TM: Is that right?
GG: Yeah, after 1984 right and hePreston Manning was the first federal party leader to visit Golden Temple
TM: Right do you stay in touch with him?
GG: Yeah, he is a good friend of mine. In fact I joined the Reform Party. He's a very honest person.
TM: Yeah, I agree with that.
GG: I like him.
TM: Yeah, no I agree
GG: Unlike some other leaders, he's absolutely sincere⟨?).
TM: I don't know him at all, but that's my sense of him from afar. That's exactly
This is about 1 min 30 sec into the tape, if you want to hear it for yourself.

The praise of Manning, who ('unlike some leaders') was honest and sincere (I'm not exactly sure what this word is), was suppressed? Why? This is so weird.

Maybe because there was no reason?

Maybe it's just a sign of sloppy preparation of teh transcript?

For all you conspiracy theorists out there, perhaps, you should just accept that sloppiness is always an alternative.

Welcome, two cents. Is it sloppy? I guess nothing is impossible. Perhaps if we knew more about the precise steps that were taken in the preparation and the software that was being used.

Time will tell, of course. But there are an awful lot of the cuts that seem to have a purpose: either to cut out embarassing things that Grewal says or to cut out things that would support the Liberal talking point that no deal was made.
