Fama gloriaque

I was pleasantly surprised that someone thought highly enough of my work here to nominate me for the Canadian Blogging Awards--indeed, for three awards in three categories:

• Best New Blog,
• Best Blog Post, for "An Infinite Number of Monkeys" and
• Best Blog Post Series, for my FAQ for the Grewal Affair

To be nominated was, of course, a great honour. You can imagine my thrill to discover that Buckets has made it to the finals in all three categories:

• I came in fourth in voting for the Best New Blog (I had voted daily for Idealist Pragmatist);
• second, for the Best Blog Post for my "An Infinite Number of Monkeys…" (I was voting for the Ambler's "Countdown to Immolation", which had been the catalyst for "Monkeys"--indeed, I had nominated it),
• and I came in first in the category Best Blog Post Series for my FAQ for the Grewal Affair (all the more remarkable given the incompleteness of FAQ).

Again, I'd like to thank those who nominated and voted for Buckets.
