Buckets of recognition: Blogging awards past, present, and future
Friends, my efforts here have garnered attention over the last six months of blogging--some of it good, some of it bad, some of it something in between. The highest of the highlights was the CTV story on me, closely followed by the positive mentions by Antonia Zerbisias (June 1; June 7; June 16). There were low-spots, too, including, um, threats of violence.
And of course, there were the awards:
- on May 28, 2005, I was "Best Named Blog of the Day";
- on June 11, 2005, I was Daveberta's first "Blog of the Week";
- and best of all, on Oct. 22, 2005, I was voted Weirdest Canadian Blog, in the 2005 Small Dead Blog Awards.
- Best New Blog,
- Best Blog Post, for "An Infinite Number of Monkeys" and
- Best Blog Post Series, for my FAQ for the Grewal Affair

Congratulations again Buckets. I hope you will win some of the Canadian Blog Awards to go along with everything else you have accomplished!
Did you notice the irony that Brian Mulroney sued Peter Newman for making tapes that he consented to. BUT, Grewal who secretly taped and edited tapes is okay. When will the Conservatives ever get their act together. They are dismal and pathetic.
